Dr. Sue Beetson graduated from Murdoch University Veterinary School in 1981 and following an Internship in small animal medicine and surgery was employed as a resident in Clinical Pathology. Whilst doing her residency training, Sue started to consult for VETPATH Laboratory Services. Over the next 5 years whilst completing a first class research honours degree and PhD in clinical biochemistry, Sue also worked at VETPATH and following the completion of her post-graduate training joined VETPATH in a full time capacity. In 1992 she became a partner and in 1998 became the principal owner and managing partner. Over the next 10 years VETPATH grew to be one of the gold standard veterinary pathology laboratories in the country. During this time Sue has continued to teach both undergraduateand post-graduate clinical pathology at Murdoch Uni and is currently an Adjunct Associated Professor in Clinical Pathology. She has also taught clinical pathology at the School of Animal and Veterinary Science, Charles Sturt University.
